So yesterday I forgot breakfast, then by the time it was lunch I’d lost my appetite, came home and had a slice of bread and some popcorn, then I couldnt eat at dinner time. Now I’ve got a very long day ahead of me and no breakfast in, not to mention Russell tried to make me a sandwich for my lunch today and its virtually inedible, bless him. So not used to this routine malarkey
Long first day at work, Russell bought me TWO of my favourite from the only place I’ve been able to find it in london :)
So today was my first day of being a real teacher.
It was mainly a training day, I got to meet the staff I’ll be working with, learn basic teaching framework and an overview of everything to do with my job. I have my own desk and classroom to do whatever I like with, I was given a laptop to work from and I now have my timetable. I’m working mainly with HE but also with FE and level 2 and I now need to plan all of my lessons until Christmas for each of the different levels. I have my teacher training starting in september too.
I just can’t bloody believe this is happening to me. Just me in charge of all these classes, and not only making my own lesson plans every day but marking and assessing work too. I have to keep pinching myself that this is real.
